About

we-have-moved

Terry and I have created 2 separate blogs to better serve our respective cluster areas since we are in two different states (MD & VA.)  We have also moved them to a new location hosted by Au Pair in America.

You can find us here:

Come visit us at our new blog home.

—————————————————————————————–

We started this blog because we have seen a lot of misinformation on the internet about au pairs, host families and au pair agencies.  So, we want to share a different perspective.  As two experienced, customer-focused community counselors and moms, we want to help families decide whether au pair is the right child care option for them and if Au Pair in America is the right agency.  If not, that’s fine.  Unlike some of our competitors, we are not out to recruit every family.  We view selecting childcare as a major personal decision.  There is no one-size- fits-all method of childcare.  We want to make you aware of things to consider and let you decide.

My name is Christine Connally and I have been an Au Pair in America Community Counselor in Maryland, since 2003. My service area includes: Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Southern Anne Arundel County and Prince George’s County, Maryland. I currently have about 40 FABULOUS au pairs placed with host families in my cluster.

My name is Terry Bellus and I have been an Au Pair in America Community Counselor in Virginia, since 2000.  My service area includes:  Fairfax County:  Fairfax, Springfield, Lorton, Fairfax Station and Alexandria.  I currently have about 70 AWESOME au pairs placed with host families in my cluster.

  1. I’m so glad there will be another resource to help families like ours!!! Our agency has been AuPair in America, and they have been wonderful to work with!

  2. Thanks, Jeana.

I have been enjoying reading your blog for a few months now. It is so nice to read about families who are having great experiences participating in the Au Pair in America program.
